Delete your account

You can delete your Dibs account and everything in it, directly in the app. It takes a few seconds and cannot be undone.

In the app

1. Open Dibs
2. Go to Settings
3. Under Account, tap Delete account
4. Confirm

What gets deleted

• Your account itself
• Your profile: collector handle, profile picture, level, XP and all statistics
• All your finds, including nicknames, place names and GPS coordinates
• All your images: original photos, cut-out vehicle images and your profile picture
• Who you follow and who you have blocked
• Your collection on your device, and your local progress

This is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery, no grace period and no backup I can restore from.

What may remain

• Reports you submitted about other users, so those cases can still be dealt with
• Anything you shared outside the app yourself — sent to a friend, posted elsewhere, saved to your photo library. I cannot reach those copies.
• Your purchase history at Apple or Google, which belongs to your store account, not to Dibs

Cancel Dibs+ separately

Deleting your account does not cancel a running subscription — that is held by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your Apple or Google account subscription settings, otherwise it keeps renewing.

If you cannot use the app

Write to apps@kevin-baur.com and I will delete it for you.

One honest limitation: if your account is anonymous and has no email address attached, there is no way for me to tell which account is yours, so I cannot act on such a request. In that case deletion from your own device is the only reliable route. If you did add an email address, write from that address and it is straightforward.

Just want to sign out?

Settings offers Sign out as well. That only clears the app on this device and leaves your account and your data intact.
